28 Tonnes of Biochar in use to improve yields!

We have been very busy this year!

From July 2023 to March 2024 Mboni ya Vijana has; mobilized 623 farmers, trained 54 youths in entrepreneurship and income-generating activities, provided business-starting seed money to 102 families, distributed high-quality cassava seeds to 173 farmers, provided high-quality sunflower seeds to 61 farmers, planted and supplied 6120 indigenous and fruit trees to individuals and governmental institutions, drilled and installed water pump to 29 boreholes, bought 100 chairs and teaching materials for an entrepreneurship class.

Mboni ya Vijana has also attended various local and international meetings/conferences where it learned best development practices, shared experiences and made connections with other development practitioners.

Through this period, Mboni ya Vijana has secured new partners including Segal Family Foundation (SFF) and Connect the Future, and continued building good relationships and partnerships with Tanzania Development Trust, GlobalGiving, Big Give, One World, Wilmslow Fund, Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute (TARI), International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA) and the Government of Tanzania through its bodies.
